Reagent Grade Water (CAP/ASTM)

• Type I Reagent Grade Water - Used in applications where maximum accuracy and precision is indicated; examples include atomic absorption, enzyme procedures, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), tissue culture, scanning electron microscopy, etc.
   
• Type II Reagent Grade Water - Used for most analytical procedures and for procedures unaffected by trace amounts of organics; examples include general reagent preparation and histological stains and dyes.
   
• Type III Reagent Grade Water - General laboratory use
   
• Type IV Reagent Grade Water - Used in the makeup of synthetic test solutions, rinse water, and wash water.
   
• United States Pharmacopoeia (U.S.P.) Purified Water - Used in the production of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
   
• Water For Injection (W.F.I.) - Used as a solvent for the preparation of solutions that are administered by injection.

Electronic Grade Water:

• Type E-1 Water - Used in the production of devices having line widths below 1.0 micron.
   
• Type E-2 Water - Used in the production of devices having line widths between 1.0 and 5.0 microns.
   
• Type E-3 Water - Used in the production of devices having line widths laarger than 5.0 microns.
   
• Type E-4 Water - Used in the make-up of plating solutions and certain electronics grade chemicals.
